Public Service Announcement from the Missouri State Highway Patrol
Every year traffic crashes involving deer occur in Missouri.
Serious traffic crashes also occur when drivers try to avoid striking a deer in the roadway. Drivers are urged to stay alert and slow down if they see deer near the road.
If a deer enters the roadway, try to remain calm. Panicking and overreacting usually lead to more serious traffic crashes.
