Obituary - Allen Ronald Baughman
Allen Ronald Baughman, age 71 of Raymore, Missouri passed away December 3, 2023 at Research Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at the Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, Missouri.
Allen was born in Kansas City, Kansas on May 3, 1952, the son of Albert Gus Baughman and Lois Irene Cooper. Allen was the only son of five children, along with his four sisters, Debbie, Karen, Beverly, and Cynthia. After high school Allen met the love of his life Glennita A. Williams and later they were married on February 5, 1975.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at the Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, Missouri.

Williams and later they were married on February 5, 1975.
Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Tracey and Mindy. In life, Allen was very passionate about many things, he loved his train sets, fish tanks, ceramics, photography, and painting. He was an avid member of the SASS, The Single Action Shooting Society where he felt like a cowboy at heart. He even had a cowboy name of “Silver Drifter”.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lois Baughman; and grandson, Tyler S. Revert.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Glennita A. Baughman; two daughters, Tracey Poma (Christopher) and Mindy Cartwright (Daren); four sisters, Debbie Anglin, Karen Oden (Jim), Beverly Malone (Mike), and Cynthia Blankenship (Gary); three grandchildren, Dalton Revert (Tati), Bobby Lees, and Madi Lees; three great grandchildren, Davaughn, Daylin, and Daydrian.
Memorial contributions may be made to the SASS, The Single Action Shooting Society, 102 East Rochester Street, P.O. Box 960 Akron, Indiana 46910.

Frances Elaine Rivera, 70, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at her home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO.
Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite animal shelter. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 PM at John Calvin Manor Community room, 310 NW Murray Rd., Lee's Summit, MO.
Frances was born June 29, 1953 to Frank Watts and Hazel Snow in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Adrian High School in Adrian, MO. Frances Elaine spent many years at Blue Valley Industries in Kansas City, MO, where she was often praised for her excellent work. On April 23, 2001 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Raymond Rivera. You could find her spending her free time doing puzzles, meeting new people, and socializing with friends. None of her hobbies could match the joy and love she had for dogs. She knew the names of all the dogs she met. Frances Elaine will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Pedestrian struck and killed in Bates County
On Tuesday December 5th the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County EMS, Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a pedestrian struck and killed by a motor vehicle in on northbound I-49 near mile marker 137.6 in Bates County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a northbound 2019 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 30 year old Brian N. Moss of Nevada, Missouri struck and killed 57 year old Jerry D. Urick of Kansas City, Missouri who was in the roadway.
Mr. Urick was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 86th Fatality of the year 2023. Next of Kin notified.

Obituary - Sister Lucille Buhl
Sister Lucille Buhl, 93, entered eternal life on December 2, 2023. She was born at home on a farm in the Town of New Holstein, WI on August 28, 1930 and baptized as Marie Magdalen Buhl.
She was the sixth of seven children born to the late Frank A. and Margaret (Salm) Buhl. She attended Holy Rosary Parish School.
After completing her freshman year at New Holstein High School, she entered Holy Family Convent on Silver Lake in Manitowoc, WI to become a Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity. She entered the novitiate in 1948 and made her First Profession of Vows in 1949.
She completed her undergraduate degree in 1967 at Holy Family College and was a member of the first class to study at the new college. Her vocation included teaching and being a principal at various parish schools in the Green Bay Diocese.
In 1979 she moved to the Kansas City area and taught at St. Patrick’s School, Kansas City, KS. She joined the Sisters for Christian Community (SFCC) in 1981. She was principal at St. Stephen’s Academy in NE Kansas City from 1982-1986. In 1987 she became the first Pastoral Associate at St. Sabina Parish in Belton, MO. Among her many duties were visiting the sick, bringing communion to people at home, in nursing homes and in hospitals, working with The Legion of Mary and senior citizens, and other ministerial duties.
In the mid 1990’s she started working at the Cullen Funeral Home, helping with visitations and other duties.
She is survived by her sister, Delores Peik, of Wauwatosa, WI, and her sister-in-law Irene Buhl, of Manchester, NH. Also surviving her are 23 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, and her sisters and brothers-in-law Isabel “Izzy” (Ray) Winkel, Marcella “Sally” (Eddie) Meyer, Viola “Vi” (Bill) VanRooy, Catherine “Katie” (Jerry) Janty and Adrian Peik, and her brother Frank O. Buhl.
Visitation will be at St. Sabina Parish from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on December 17, 2023, with a rosary at 3 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on December 18, 2023, preceded by visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Mass will be live streamed via St. Sabina’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/StSabinaParish. A private family burial will be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery in New Holstein, WI at a later date. She will be buried next to her parents.
Sister Lucille's extended family is grateful for the loving care provided by so many individuals during her many years in Belton. She felt truly blessed, as did her entire extended family.
Memorials to the charity of your choice.

BCMH Employee of the Year 2023
We are pleased and honored to announce that Joshua Sullins, RT was voted BCMH Employee of the Year 2023! The announcement was made Friday at the BCMH Winter Wonderland Employee Recognition banquet.
Josh is known to patients and coworkers for brightening everyone’s day with his kind, friendly demeanor.
He said, “What I like about my job is all the help it provides, and being able to help someone when they have an illness or give them peace of mind when all looks dark.”
The Rich Hill native graduated from Rich Hill High School in 2004 and attended Colorado Tech University, graduating in 2006. Josh has worked as a radiologic tech for 17 years and has worked with BCMH in the imaging services department since 2014. Patients may see Josh when they have a CT scan or MRI scheduled at BCMH.
Josh said, “What I like about working at BCMH is I get to be me. I appreciate my coworkers – Chris, Steve and Nikki – for teaching me what I know and how to be a Rad Tech.”
Congratulations Josh! We are proud of your accomplishments and thankful for your excellent service to our hospital and community.

Way to go Krisonna
We would to congratulate Butler High School Senior Krisonna Werner who received a $1,000 scholarship and a new computer over the weekend in Arkansas.
Krisonna was the recipient of a scholarship from Shawn Pruitt and Basic Bros Attire LLC out of Ft Smith Arkansas.
She will enroll in MSU in Springfield, Missouri next fall and she will be pursing a degree in Agriculture Education and Equine Science.
Way to go Krisonna we wish you the best next fall.
