Structure fire last night in Belton

Last night the Belton Fire Department units responded to 3rd floor deck fire in a residential complex in the area of 58 Highway and Cunningham Industrial Parkway.

Units were able to extinguish the fire quickly. No injuries were reported and the fire is currently under investigation. The fire caused minimal damage to two decks.

Two injured in St. Clair County rollover accident

On Wednesday December 6th around 11:35 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County along with St. Clair Count Sheriff's Deputies and El Dorado Springs Fire Department responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Southwest CR 1371 around 5 miles north of El Dorado Springs.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2006 Pontiac Montana Van driven by 22 year old Edmond J. Lavallee of El Dorado Springs, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Edmond J. Lavallee along with a passenger in the van 18 year old Mason A. Fast of El Dorado Springs, Missouri both sustained injuries and both were flown by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.

Obituary - Thomas Victor Trzebiatowski Jr.

Thomas Victor Trzebiatowski Jr., 49 of Urich, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2023 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. No services scheduled at this time.

Thomas was born on January 17, 1974 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the son of Thomas Trzebiatowski Sr. and Darlene Flatoff.

Thomas graduated from Stevens Point High School in Wisconsin. He had a true passion for working with plants and trees especially Magnolias. Thomas had so much knowledge about plants it was truly amazing, and he loved being outside in nature. Thomas worked in healthcare and greatly enjoyed helping take care of doctor appointments and patient transportation. He was loved by so many, and will be missed greatly.

He is preceded in death by his mother Darlene Flatoff, his sister Mary Ann, as well as uncles, and grandparents.

Survivors include his spouse Virgil Trzebiatowski, parents Thomas and Ann Marie Trzebiatowski, Beth Trzebiatowski, sister Rachel Flatoff, and his loving nieces and nephews.

Sandra (Sandy) Sue Johnson Hocker, 65 of Drexel Missouri passed away on Friday, December 1st, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones. Private family services will be held. Sandy was born on March 10th, 1958 in Poplar Bluff, MO to her parents Delaine and Jerry Berry Johnson. Sandy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and friend. She was loved by anyone who knew her. Sandy had a true passion to please people!

Her hobbies included cooking, baking, playing with her great-grandbabies., spending time with family, friends and the love of her life Dad! She was preceded in death by her parents Delaine and Jerry Johnson, Vicky Marionneaux, Diane Johnson and Chad Rogers.

She is survived by Husband Bill Hocker, Daughters Rebecca Kensinger and husband Joey "Stickman", Sarah Rogers and boyfriend Gbanjah Woart. Step-Daughters, Tina Planer and husband Wade Platner, Tesa Miles and husband Martin Miles, and Tara McGuire and hus-band Blake McGuire, Son Troy Chamness and wife Lori Chamness. Along with her brothers, Larry Johnson and wife Lisa Johnson, Gary Johnson and wife Diane Johnson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great-great-nephew.

Male subject, brown coat, brown back pack, blue jeans, black glasses, black shoes and hat. Subject fled on foot from the Rodeo Grounds, outside of Osceola, off 82 Highway. Subject is wanted for questioning for possible burglary. Unknown direction of travel.

Butler Boys Varsity Bears Basketball gets win in Lincoln

The Butler Boys Varsity Bears Basketball picked up a win tonight over the Lincoln Cardinals 49-43. 

Butler will be back on the court Thursday Night as they travel to take on the Archie Whirlwinds.
