Way to go Dayne!

The Ballard R-2 School District is pleased to be working in conjunction with the Adrian Optimist Club to honor a Student of the Month for the 2023-24 school year.

The Student of the Month for November is Sophomore, Dayne Greer, the son of Jimmy and Staci Greer. This month's special theme is "Gratitude and Generosity".

Dayne currently participates in Envirothon and FFA, and in his free time, he also enjoys hunting, fishing, and going to work. His future plans are to go to welding or diesel mechanics school. Dayne would like to say, "My main source of inspiration is my grandpa."

The Ballard staff have said about Dayne: "Dayne was very grateful for some opportunities that were presented to him. He decided to take advantage of the new opportunities even when they were out of his comfort zone. Dayne is very frequently heard using his manners being polite.

He has stepped up as a leader and student in my classroom and organization. He truly is trying to be a better student, leader, and overall person for others to look up to."

"Dayne exhibits gratitude and generosity to his peers. He works hard and deserves the best!"

For Dayne’s hard work in school, he has received a certificate of recognition from the Adrian Optimist Club and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.”
