I am planning on opening back up to full time. With that being said, I am looking to fill full-time positions and then part time.

I am available Monday-Friday 6am - 5:15pm. Please message me with any questions and feel free to share!

Accumulating Snowfall Monday and Tuesday

Rain and rain/snow mix transitions to snow Mon. afternoon and overnight. There's uncertainty in the timing of the transition, especially in the circled area.

Transitioning earlier means amounts on the higher end of the range, while a slower transition means lower end amounts.

Structure fire Saturday night in Nevada

Saturday January 6th just before 1900 hours the Nevada Fire Department C-Shift was called for a structure fire in the 500 block of West Austin.

Engine 219 with the crew of 4 arrived on scene and had smoking coming from the 3rd story and attic area. Crews attempted an interior attack and were unsuccessful.

After a couple of minutes the fire had vented and started to rapidly grow, eventually bringing the roof down a short time later. This fire took a bit to get under control and overhaul was tedious.

Crews were able to keep the fire to the 3rd floor and up. Chief, Ladder 216, Rescue 214 and Engine 212 also responded with 7 off duty personnel.

Thank you to Nevada PD for the traffic control and VCAD with the rehab responsibilities. Thank you to Deerfield, Milo and Walker Fire Departments for responding mutual aid! The extra hands are always appreciated!
