From the desk of Drexel Police Chief Downey

Bobcats; the roads in and around Drexel are very slick. We have snow on the roadways with ice underneath from yesterday’s rain & snow.

MO-DOT has been contacted.

Hwy 18 will not be tended to until approximately noon. A Hwy is lower on their list, and may not be tended to until late in the day.

Stay home, work remotely if you can. If you have to be out and about, use caution. Go slow, increase following distances, and brake softly.

While the farm was always home, Don relocated to the Kansas City area in late 2022 to be near his daughters as his memory declined. He enjoyed love, laughter and many “adventures” with his girls. He left us unexpectedly and far too soon, but parted this world happy and well-loved.
