Jimmy Allen Skaggs, age 81 of Butler, Missouri died Monday, January 8, 2024 at his home. He was born October 25, 1942 to Virgil F. and Geraldine Berry Skaggs in Butler, Missouri.
Jimmy is survived by three children, Deneice Garland and wife Donna of Bowie, Maryland, Allen Skaggs and wife Pam and Ronda Thomas and husband James all of Butler, Missouri; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with one on the way; a brother, Berry Skaggs and wife Euleta of Raymore, Missouri; and two sisters, Sue Shaffer and husband Dean of Lincoln, Missouri and Rene Crow of Butler, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jerry, Gene and Chuck Skaggs; and two sisters, Betty Dubray and Connie Farrel.

Traffic Alert: Motor vehicle accident near Adrian
The Adrian Fire Department along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers are on scene of a motor vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of I-49 near Mile Marker 138.2 in rural Adrian.
The accident is said to be one vehicle that has struck a tree, with no injuries reported. Please use caution and slow down if you must travel in the area.

Hwy 18 will not be tended to until approximately noon. A Hwy is lower on their list, and may not be tended to until late in the day.

Due to the non interstate road conditions from Adrian north, Countywide Disposal will be shutting down for the day.
If your trash has not been picked up yet this morning, please leave it at the curb. We will be picking up ALL Tuesday stops on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
For the remainder of the week, all routes will run on normal schedule. The safety of our employees and those that come near our heavy trucks is our top priority.
