Lees Summit man arrested after Bates County rollover crash
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2015 Dodge Ram pickup operated by 39 year old Brandon S. Flesner of Lee's Summit, Missouri traveled off the right side of the highway, over corrected and traveled off the left side of the highway where the truck then overturned.
Brandon S. Flesner sustained minor injuries in this accident and he will seek his own treatment. He was also arrested and charged with the following charge 1.) Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

Obituary - Edgar W. “Eddie” Roth III
He was born December 14, 1974, in Town and Country, Missouri, the son of Edgar Wilmer Roth, Jr., and Carol Anita (Meyer) Roth. On August 14, 1999, he married Mary Elizabeth Henke in Troy, Mo., and she survives of the home.
Eddie graduated from Troy Buchanan High School in Troy, Mo. He worked for the City of Wentzville for several years and then worked laying concrete. After moving to Windsor, he continued working in concrete for Nussbaum Construction before starting his own concrete business.
He raised Polled Hereford cattle alongside his father with Roth Hereford Farm. He was active in the cattle community as a board member for the Missouri Hereford Association and the Henry County Fair. He was a member and Elder at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton.
In addition to his wife Mary, survivors include 2 sons, Lane Roth and Levi Roth; his mother, Carol Roth, Troy, Mo.; a sister, Jennifer Woody (Eric), Troy, Mo; a nephew, Ethan Woody; his mother-in-law, Judy Henke, Baldwin, Mo.; and several extended family, including brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Roth Jr.; a sister, Robbyn Roth; and father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Henke.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton, Mo., with Rev. William Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Burial will take place Saturday after the service at 1 p.m. on the Roth family farm. The family suggests contribution to the Missouri Junior Hereford Association in care of the funeral home.
Kansas man killed in motorcycle accident
The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1981 Honda CB900 Motorcycle driven by 49 year old Darin L. Harclerode of Iola, Kansas struck a deer and lost control of the motorcycle overturning several times.
Darin L. Harclerode was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and he was transported to Frontier Forensics in Kansas City, Missouri. He wasn't wearing a helmet. Next of kin notified.

Murphy was born in Kansas City, MO on April 20, 1952 the daughter of George Wellington Sargent and Frances Patricia Mahoney Sargent “Atsy”. She started out her childhood in Independence, MO and then moved with the family to their farm outside of Peculiar, MO at an early age. She attended Ray-Pec schools and later married her High School Sweetheart from right down the road on June 13, 1969. She and Gary moved just outside of Freeman, MO in 1973 where they raised two sons.

Murphy was always a hard worker and proud of it. After both boys started school, she went to work for JC Penney and retired after 31 years there. After her retirement from JC Penney, she decided that she needed something else to do, so she went to work for the Ray-Pec school district as a child nutritionist and always had stories to tell about the kids (good and bad) that she would encounter each day. She later retired from this job as well, but was always willing to work a day here and there to fill in.
Murphy enjoyed her many adventures over the years with Gary traveling, camping and even just going out for a long drive to see if they could find interesting places.
Some of Murphy’s favorite things were, spending time with and watching her grandkids play sports, family trips to Roaring River, and antiquing her annual trips with her sisters. Murphy will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, George and “Atsy” Sargent, Mother and Father in-law, Ramon and Nora Irvin, Brothers, Mike and Steve Sargent, Brother in-law, Denny Irvin, and her beloved grandson, Dalton.
Murphy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gary of the home, Sons Jake and his wife Debbie of Drexel, MO. Matt and his wife Sheryl of Archie, MO., Grandchildren, Layne, Ethan, Wyatt, Kylie, Levi, Jase and step-grandchildren Blake, Bailey and Mackenzie, sisters, Patsy Sargent, Katy (Preston) Brammer, Susan Maldonado, Kyle (Doug) DeFrain, Kris (Rick) Darrah and Janie (Michael) Thomason, brother, George Sargent, In Laws, Dave (Beth) Irvin, Mike Irvin and Carol Irvin, along with many nieces, nephews and friends
Murphy was always donating time and money to numerous causes. At her request she asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Drexel School District lunch program in her name to benefit children in need. Murphy will be laid to rest at a private family ceremony next to her grandson Dalton at the Sharon Cemetery outside of Drexel, MO

Obituary - Elizabeth Diane Aman-Riepe
Lizzie was born on March 22, 1971 in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of James and Karen (Carpenter) Aman. She was a life-long resident of Harrisonville and a 1989 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Lizzie was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was known for her kind and nurturing nature, always putting others before herself. Lizzie was united in marriage to Richard Riepe on July 13, 2003 in Lord's Park in Harrisonville, MO.
Lizzie was not only a caring family member but also an active member of her community. She was an enthusiastic participant in various organizations, including being a longtime member of SCA, HODA, and the Institute of the Historical Educational Arts. Of all her achievements, her family would make special note of several awards for her commitment and dedication, including the Royal Arch Chapter "Sweetheart" Award, Cryptic Counsel "Lady of the Counsel" Award, Companion of the Temple from the Grand Encampment of the Knights Templar of North America, York Rite Sovereign College of North America Diamond Award, and the Gold Award Recipient in Girl Scouts. Her involvement extended beyond her local community, as she also received the Kingdom of Calontir (4 States Regional Award) Award of Arms and Torse and the honorary award as a Friend of the Barony of Mag Mor. Additionally, she earned the title of Honored Warrior, "Appearing Dawn: Daughter of Medicine Man Red Gold Sunset" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, which she carried with great pride.
As a woman of deep compassion, Elizabeth also dedicated herself to charitable work. She spearheaded projects that provided sustenance and clothing to hundreds of Guatemalan children in need, with the support and backing of her congregations. Elizabeth continuously collected and transported donations to various homeless shelters, traveling thousands of miles to help those less fortunate. Her recent focus was assisting a school dedicated to helping Last Chance students graduate or obtain their GED by providing essential supplies and support to the staff.
In her leisure time, Elizabeth enjoyed sharing her husband's passion for blacksmithing, even assisting him in teaching blacksmith classes. She often humorously mentioned that she "married a blacksmith, and had never intended to marry a preacher," but she embraced the journey with unwavering love and support.
Lizzie is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cheralyn Aman. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Jared (Emily) Elias Aman, of Garden City, MO; her daughter, Kailey (Anthony) Ruth Frances Aman-Diaz, of Corpus Christi, Texas; her step-son, Joshua Jay Riepe, of Manhattan, New York; her step-daughter, Kaycia (Chris) Rajala, of Omaha, Nebraska; a brother, Mike (Joy) Aman, of Harrisonville, MO; a sister, Sarah Gutekunst, of Helena, Montana; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
