Stanfill brothers receive 60 year Masonic Lodge Pin

Being part of an organization such as the Masons for 20 years is an honor or even 40 or 50 years.

But two brothers from rural Amsterdam made it to 60 years, a rare event even for an organization as old as the Masons.

Last night the Amsterdam Masonic Lodge held a special ceremony for Carl and Freeman Stanfill of rural Amsterdam in honor of them both receiving their 60 year membership pins.

Not only being a great bunch of guys the Stanfill brothers have left their markings on the Masons and we thank them. The 60 year pin is a high honor and is very rarely achieved. Congratulations Freeman and Carl!!

Special Night for Butler Bears Basketball

It was a special night for the Butler Varsity Bears as they had assistant coach Bryce Triebel on hand for their first game of districts.

Bryce has been absent for the last couple months as he has been healing from a serious accident. During his absent coach Will Burch has filled in nicely and provides some great energy for the team.

Butler won the game tonight 67-32 over the Holden Eagles. We still would like to keep Bryce and his family in our thoughts and prayers!
