Phone outage sweeping the nation this morning

I’m sure by now everyone has heard about the phone outage across the nation. It has affected our phones in Bates County also. This is a good time for you to brush up with your family about your family’s personal emergency plans.

In the event of a major disaster phones may be disrupted and internet could be affected. Our society has become reliant on internet based software, phones and many other things.

Things like your debit/credit cards can’t be processed, phones and computer systems. Whether it’s natural disasters or terrorist attacks please have a conversation with your loved ones on how your family will handle these types of crisis and have a plan in place. It’s better to over plan and not need it then to not have a plan.
