A line of thunderstorms is expected to move through the region Monday night capable of producing strong damaging winds, large hail and a brief tornado. Additional severe weather is possible on Wednesday.

UTV fatality accident in St. Clair County
On Saturday May 4th around 5:25 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County along with St. Clair County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a UTV accident on private property around 3 miles west of Collins.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occured when a eastbound 2017 Polaris Razor driven by 25 year old Brandon L. Damewood of Humansville, Missouri lost control and overturned.
A passenger in the UTV 22 year old Ariel A. Culbertson of Humansville, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident.
This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 28th Fatality of the year 2024. Next of kin notified.

Obituary - Emily Louise Martin
Emily Louise Martin, age 27, resident of Fort Scott, KS died Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 8th, at the Community Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday May 7th at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
