On Sunday July 7th around 7:20 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Bates County EMS and Butler Fire Department responded to a motorcycle crash on NE CR 1993 just north of NE CR 1504 in rural Butler.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2011 Suzuki GSX 1250 driven by 38 year old Kyle L. Wilson of Butler, Missouri overturned and traveled off the side of the roadway.
Mr. Wilson sustained minor injuries and he refused medical treatment at the scene of the accident.
He was also issued with three citations for the following charges 1.) Driving while intoxicated 2.) Failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash 3.) Abandoning a motor vehicle after a crash.

Walker man injured in Bates County Crash
On Sunday July 7th around 5:50 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Office, Rich Hill Fire and Bates County EMS responded to a one vehicle accident at County Road 7508 just east of U Highway in rural Bates County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the westbound 2012 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 26 year old Zachary T. Henry of Walker, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Mr. Henry sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by Bates County EMS to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Skid Steer Fire In Rural Butler
The Butler Fire Department is currently on scene of a fully engulfed skid steer fire east of Butler on NE CR 4004 near White Cemetery.
The cause of this fire is unknown at this time and no one is reported injured. The fire has been reported as under control at this time.

Road work in Adrian
Crews are chip and sealing Adrian City Park starting early Monday morning. The park will be closed to vehicle traffic until the work is completed.
Weather permitting, the park should be open to traffic before the end of the week. Foot traffic is allowed during this roadwork.

Sawyer Brown rocks Rich Hill last night
The band who originated in Florida in 1981 is led by original front man Mark Miller who is known for bringing lots of energy and some great dance moves as well as fantastic vocals.
Sawyer Brown has released 18 studio albums and has charted over 50 times on the Hot Country Songs charts, including three No. 1 singles: "Step That Step" (1985), "Some Girls Do" (1992), and "Thank God for You" (1993).
The large crowd in Rich Hill was dancing and singing along with the band all night. This celebration truly brings joy and happiness every year and we would like to thank everyone who worked hard and helped to put on this celebration as well as attended it .
