Recently the Adrian FFA received this FFA jacket in the mail. It came with a picture of the young man who wore the jacket and a brief history.
Adrian man injured in Bates County crash
On Saturday September 14th around 1:30 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with the Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on State Route FF and County Road 5001.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occured when the north bound 2016 Ford Fusion driven by a 20 year old Brian K. McGuire on Adrian, Missouri overcorrected, traveled off the side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and struck a culvert.
Mr. McGuire sustained minor injuries but refused treatment on the scene.

Nissen to be honored with his 50-year Masonic Service Pin
On Thursday, September 19th at 7pm, Ronald L. Nissen, a former postal worker and former Bates County Emergency Management Director, will be honored with his 50-year Masonic Service Pin at Butler Lodge No. 254, located at 1203 N Orange St, Butler.
The presentation will follow the Annual Installation of Officers. The public is warmly invited to attend and celebrate this special milestone.
Nevada man injured in Henry County rollover crash
On Saturday September 14th around 5:30 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with the Henry County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Division Road and CR 701.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occured when the east bound 2005 Honda Civic driven by a 32 year old Cody L. Kennon failed to yield at an intersection, ran off the roadway, and overturned.
Mr. Kennon sustained moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to Research Medical Center for treatment.

Animal pen fire in rural El Dorado Springs
09/15/24 at 0128 Hours. The EL Dorado Springs Fire Department responded to the 9300 block of SW 82 highway concerning reported animal pens on fire. 4 trucks and 12 firefighters responded. No injuries reported and firefighters we're on scene for 1 hour.

Update: Natural gas leak today in Rich Hill
At 13:38:27 Rich Hill Fire was dispatched to the 100 block of west maple for a possible natural gas leak.
301 arrived on scene at 13:40:55 and advised dispatch that it was a for sure natural gas leak. And that there was a brush pile on fire approximately 25 feet from the gas leak.
At 14:46:50 all hazards were mitigated and all units were back in service. 301, 304, 306 and 312 responded.
Thank you BCSO for assisting with setting up a perimeter.

301 requested additional firefighters. After getting the fire out firefighters worked to stop the leak. Firefighters were able to slow the leak down drastically until Liberty Utilities arrived on scene.
At 14:46:50 all hazards were mitigated and all units were back in service. 301, 304, 306 and 312 responded.

Butler Lady Bears Junior High Volleyball Team gets 1st Place Today at Crest Ridge Tournament
We would like to congratulate the Butler Lady Bears Junior High Volleyball Team who took first place today in the Crest Ridge Tournament. The stats for today as well as some photos have been posted below.
