Bears fall short on Homecoming against Warsaw

The Butler Bears 3-3 hosted the Warsaw Wildcats 6-0 for the Butler Bears 2024 Homecoming.

The first half was a defensive struggle with the Bears able to force two turnovers, one interception by Junior Kellen Long, and a sack fumble by Sophomore Lucas Davidson and recovered by Senior Dylan Treibel

With 5:43 left in the second quarter the Bears will able to capitalize on the Kellen Long interception when Senior Xavier Wisdom broke a touchdown run to take the lead 6-0.

Warsaw was able to tie the ballgame with 4:04 left in the second on a touchdown pass. The game was tied 6-6 at halftime.

The second half was a great battle as Warsaw would take the lead on a Josh Harvath touchdown run and the wildcats would escape Butler with a 13-6 victory to move to 7-0 on the season.
