Rich Hill brush cleanup set for next week

The City of Rich Hill will be offering a brush clean up during the week of January 27-31. Brush is considered as any normal yard waste. Please have the brush out and ready for pickup. Four selected for Wall of Fame induction

The Harrisonville Public School Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of four Harrisonville High School alumni for induction into the 2025 class of the HHS Distinguished Alumni Wall of Fame. Congratulations to:
Celine (Andersen) Armstrong, Class of 2002
LTC Samuel Grabill, Class of 2002
Ryan Maid, Class of 2000
Jonathan Pope, Class of 2001

The induction will take place on Friday, February 7 during HHS Courtwarming activities. The community is invited to a reception from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the HHS library and the induction will take place between varsity basketball games at approximately 7:15 p.m.

BCMH awards scholarships

 

This week, we had the privilege of connecting with our 2024-2025 scholarship recipients, who are well on their way to pursuing careers in healthcare. These students were awarded scholarships last spring, and we’re excited to continue supporting them with funds for their education this semester.

Jimmie Dean Harris age 67 of Garden City, Missouri departed this life Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his home in Garden City, Missouri.

Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Heart of Life Church, Garden City, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Heart of Life Church, Garden City, Missouri with Interment at Byler Cemetery, Creighton, Missouri.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Garden City United Methodist Church Memorial Fund and sent to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.

Anna Yoakum, 70, Sheldon, MO, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Funeral services will be at 1:30p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO. Tom Holcomb, 85, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home in Nevada, MO Tom was born on May 5, 1939 in Nevada to Howard Richard and Lucille Kay (Poland) Holcomb.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will receive visitors from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the funeral home. Additional information will be released later by Ferry Funeral Home.
