Butler track meet results

The Bears took a short trip north to Archie for the only high school meet that we will compete in there before Archie hosts sectionals later in May. The weather wasn’t quite as nice as it was last week for our home meet and the marks were down slightly, but compared to the athletes at the other 23 schools that attended, the Bears did not disappoint and wound up bringing home 11 medals (5 gold) with 10 personal records.

Below are the results of athletes finishing in the top 8 of their event and scoring points for the team or earning a personal record on the night. -Courtesy Butler Bear XC & Track

Kolten Groblebe selected as Cass Career Center's Young Professional of the Month

This award is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Harrisonville, which recognizes outstanding young professionals making an impact in Cass County.

Here are some highlights from his nomination:
“Kolten comes to class ready to learn. He is an example of professionalism, he is an active participant in class discussions, and he completes all of his assignments in a timely manner. He was "hired" in English class not long after this school year started, and he continues to be employable in all areas because Kolten can be counted on for a job well done. He is also an active participant in class as well as SkillsUSA. Kolton’s pleasant nature combined with his work ethic makes him a perfect selection for Young Professional of the Month.” CCC Instructors Mr. Powers, Mrs. Graeve, and Mrs. Elifrits.
