Obituary - Scott Andrew Moore

Scott Andrew Moore, son of Kevin Scott and Michelle Renay (Goth) Moore, was born December 10, 1988 in Clinton, Missouri. He departed this life unexpectedly at Ellett Memorial Hospital on May 2, 2025 at the age of 36.

Scott grew up in the Appleton City and Montrose areas all his life and attended Appleton City Schools, graduating in 2009. He excelled in FFA activities and had earned many awards during his high school years. Living on the family farm all his life, Scott was able to help his dad with chores when he was older, he was also a faithful caregiver to his mother following her car accident. Scott was a hard worker and enjoyed feeding and working with the cattle they owned. His dream was to start his own herd.

His constant companion was his dog, Bingo. They were inseparable as they worked on the farm together. Scott spent many hours planting and raising produce such as tomatoes, squash, and green beans for home canning and selling. He and his dad worked hard at harvesting wonderful vegetables.

After working time was done, Scott still loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting deer, squirrels and other game. He also loved spending time fishing, especially for bass.

Preceding Scott in death were his grandparents: Charlie and Dorothy Moore, and Darrell Anthony Goth and Teen Alice (Gregory) Goth Payne; and his great-grandmother, Pauline Goth. Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Michelle Moore; his sister Mickaela (Zach) Sebree; his dog, Bingo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family and many friends.

Scott will be greatly missed by his family who loved his quiet ways, humor, dedication to caring for his mom, always being there to help on the farm, and just being Scott.

Visitation to be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with funeral services Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hill & Son Funeral Home, Appleton City MO
