MU Extension forage specialist Carson Roberts offers a valuable perspective on why stepping away from hay production might actually benefit your operation.
Key reasons to quit making hay:
◾High equipment costs
◾Cost of labor and time

Miami County special operations team receive special training

Today, members of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) focused on sharpening their Close Quarters Battle (CQB) techniques.

These vital skills enhance our ability to respond effectively to critical incidents involving armed individuals and help ensure the safety of both officers and the community.
Training like this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community. A special thank you to Rob George, owner of Legacy Contractors LLC, for allowing us to use a building in Paola — giving our team realistic, dynamic training scenarios to better prepare for real-world situations.
We appreciate the continued partnership that helps us stay ready and resilient.
