Obituary - Kathleen Joyce Motley

Kathleen Joyce Motley passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025.

Kathleen was born September 1, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Appleton City, MO with her late husband Charles “Mick” Motley. Kathleen was a very spunky woman. Kathleen would give you the clothes off her back and was never one to turn away a stray. You always knew where you stood with Kathleen. She was strong willed and courageous woman, a wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother. She faced many challenges in her lifetime and overcame each one.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma and Elmer Dady, her husband, Charles “Mick” Motley, and her daughter Rhonda Mahoney. She is survived by her three daughters, Michelle Daniels and her three children, Cathy and her husband James Carr and their three children, Joyce and her husband Clint Carr and their three children; two sons, Lloyd and his wife Angela Cooper and their five children and Leonard Cooper and his three children; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and one brother.

Patrick Franklin Wray age 64 of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Sunday, October 5, 2025 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Billy "Bill" J. Hughes, 87, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, following a visitation that will begin at 5:00pm at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.
