Pursuit ends with two in custody

In the early afternoon of 12-05-25, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by detectives from the Kansas City Police Department in regards to a burglary suspect traveling through our county.

Deputies located the subject near the north entrance to Lake Winnebago and attempted to stop the vehicle as it traveled south on 291 Highway. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle traveled west on 58 Highway, and entered the city of Raymore.
After a successful grapple, the pursuit ended in a field just south of Heron street near J Highway. The driver was quickly taken into custody. After an area search with a k9, a passenger was taken into custody while hiding in a neighboring out building.
All suspects are in custody and are currently pending charges out of Cass County. We would like to thank the Lake Winnebago Police Department, Raymore Police Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol for their assistance.

Metz depot to be possible addition to Frontier Village in Adrian

As Frontier Village in Adrian already serves as a permanent home for several local historical structures, this may be next on the list as negotiations are ongoing to relocate the Metz railroad depot to the village.

Plans are already in the works to rebuild what appears to be the last depot in the area and despite its appearance, it has "good bones" making it the perfect candidate.

More information to be provided soon.
