Obituary - Patricia Minor
Patricia was born November 12, 1956, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Marvin and Glenda Gunderson. She was a devoted homemaker who found joy in quilting, crafting, and many creative hobbies. Patricia was united in marriage to Terry Lynn Minor on May 1, 1993, at Butler Christian Church, and they shared 32 years together.
Above all, Patricia was a strong believer in her faith. She remained positive and steadfast throughout her health struggles, a reflection of her strength and trust in the Lord.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lynn Minor of the home; her son, Travis Minor and wife Christy of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; and her cherished grandsons, Aiden Minor, Evan Minor, and Owen Minor. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Debbie Minor of Branson, Missouri; Deidre (Dee) and Perry Franks of Miami, Oklahoma; Carla Bray of Burlington Junction, Missouri; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather; her son, Christopher Minor; her brother, Michael Gunderson and his wife Margaret; her sister, Diana Werner and her husband Rick; and her grandparents.
Cremation with a Celebration of Life Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at Dickey Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Visitation will be held 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment at Byler Cemetery, Creighton, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Donations can be made through the link or mailed to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.

Obituary - Dinah Binder
Dinah was born on August 31, 1944, in Springfield, MO, to Russell Franklin and Pauline Alberta (Dughman) Elkins. Dinah graduated from Harrisonville High School with the Class of 1962. A devoted homemaker for most of her life, she also contributed to her community by working as a nurse's aide for the Visiting Nurses Association and at Harrisonville Hospital early in her career. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature extended well beyond her professional life, as she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family.
Dinah was known for her low-profile demeanor, yet she had a knack for finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. She relished spending weekends playing cards with friends, indulged in her love of crocheting, and enjoyed watching television, particularly the Home Shopping Network. Above all, her greatest happiness stemmed from time spent with her family. Whether hosting family dinners or celebrating special occasions, Dinah cherished every moment alongside her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be dearly remembered.
Dinah was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Russell "Rusty" (Edie) Binder; daughter, Cindy Chancellor; 6 grandchildren: Chase Binder, Nathan (Leanna) Garlock, Jeremy Chancellor, Austin Chancellor, Adam (Hope) Ammerman, and Joseph (Kara) Ammerman; and 8 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Brian (Egypt) Garlock, Cayden Garlock, Mia Chancellor, Harper Binder, Paisley Binder, Lincoln Ammerman, Leaton Ammerman, and Olivia Ammerman. She will be dearly missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew her.

A very special gift presented to Poplar Heights Farm
Glenda Seelinger Lenox of Raymore MO, daughter of Larry R. Seelinger, donated this very unique dual school desk to Poplar Heights Farm in memory her grandfather Lyle Robert Seelinger, who attended the Summit School in the early 1900's.
Glenda is pictured here with Brian Phillips just after the desk was moved into the schoolhouse on Thursday morning. The public is invited to visit Poplar Heights Farm, an immaculately preserved, historic part of our local history. More information is available here https://www.poplarheightsfarm.org

The Wall That Heals open to the public through Sunday in Butler
THE WALL THAT HEALS, a beautiful 3/4 scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. is now on display in Butler, open to the public 24 hours a day through Sunday. Please take a moment to come and visit this incredible once-in-a-lifetime event.
Location: Navigate to the Bates County Memorial Hospital 615 W Nursery St, Butler, MO 64730 and look for signs and flags at entrance on Nursery street
Taps will be played at 8:30 pm each day.
