Thieves just won't quit

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office has received reports of individuals stealing copper piping from A/C units at local churches near the St. Clair County/Henry county line. Please keep an eye out for suspicious activity around churches and outdoor A/C units. If you see something suspicious, contact the Sheriff’s Office by calling 911.

Similar reports have been made around the area that would include most any rural location where copper and other precious metals can be easily stolen. Again,  keep your eyes open and stay aware.
