ASSAULT-DREXEL* Deputies responded to R.R. 1 Drexel in reference to a domestic. No injuries were reported. The domestic was a verbal dispute.

BURGLARY-ARCHIE* Deputies were dispatched to R.R. 2 box 267 Archie, Missouri to a burglary. Items taken were a 32" flat screen television, a jug of assorted change, assortment of tools, black 2xl Dickies insulated coat, and a poker chip playing set.

was not domestic in nature. The victim refused to pursue charges and was arrested on an

Bingo pot is $4,000; win a turkey too!

Adrian Optimist Bingo Monday night at 7 pm - Help kick off Thanksgiving week right by bringing a friend to Bingo Monday night. The pot is at $4000 and we are giving away 15 free turkeys. Thank you so much for your support. The money raised goes toward assisting area youth.

Butler man escapes serious injuries

Christopher L. Kantor, 41, of Butler received minor injuries in a single car accident at county road 3002 and West outer road near Butler around 11 pm last night. According the the report, Kantor's 1993 Chevrolet traveled across the West outer road, ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and a fence.  The vehicle was totaled; Kantor was taken to the Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Charges are pending at this time.

Obituary - Gary Kershner

Funeral services for Gary Kershner will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. No visitation. Burial, Scott Cemetery, Amsterdam, Missouri. Contributions, American Cancer Society.

Gary Kershner, age 61 of Melbourne, Florida formerly of Kansas City, Missouri died November 19, 2010 at William Childs Hospice House in Rockledge, Florida. He was born June 15, 1949 to Wesley Oren and Ruth Kershner.
Gary is survived by his wife, Brenda Kershner of Melbourne, Florida; one son, Chad Kershner and wife Brandi of Kansas City, Missouri; a stepdaughter, Calli Harrington of Palm Bay, Florida; his mother, Ruth Kershner of Butler, Missouri; two sisters, Peggy Adkins and husband Richard and Betty Taylor all of Harrisonville, Missouri; and two stepgrandchildren, Brandyn and Sean.
