Butler Police is in route to Community First Bank the one located in Dollar General Parking on a minor traffic accident. No reports of injuries and they aren't blocking the roadway. Bates County Live will update this if and when more information is available.
Obituary - Marilee Phyllis Frazier
Marilee Phyllis Frazier, 67, Peculiar, Missouri, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Heart of Life Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. (Cremation). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or any animal rescue facility.
Marilee was born August 17, 1945 in Escondido, California, the daughter of Jack and Mary Phyllis (Schnure) Bonshire. She worked in internal customer service for Sprint.
Marilee was a former barrel racing competitor and was a former member of the NBHA in Kansas. She was an avid treasure collector. She loved to travel and sightsee. She was very artistic and creative. She loved animals of all kinds, and raised three pet raccoons.
Marilee was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by two daughters, Dena Fairchild and her husband, Kevin, Ringgold, Georgia and CeCe Noriega, Peculiar, Missouri; two brothers, Jack Bonshire, II and his wife, Ellen, Crestline, California and Tom Bonshire and his wife, Judy, Mesa, Arizona; two sisters, Kathy Reinhard and her husband, Ray, Leucadia, California and Bonnie Hargis and husband, Kevin, Fallon, Nevada; 3 grandchildren, Jessica White, Jack White and Taylor White; 1 great-grandson, Kolby Hill; and numerous extended family and friends.
Bates County Sheriff's Department Makes Arrest In Rich Hill
Around 5:00pm this evening The Bates County Sheriff's Department with assistance from The Rich Hill Police Department arrested Ted Jacobs in a house on 6th Street in Rich Hill. Mr. Jacobs was taken into custody without incident. Bates County Live will update this story when more information becomes available.

Helen Mildred Smith, 93 of Butler and formerly of Amsterdam, Missouri, passed away July 28, 2013 at Willow Lane Care Center in Butler, Missouri.
Mildred was born November 8, 1919 in Bates County, Missouri, daughter of Ralph E. and Ruth (Armentrout) Smith.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Paul E. Smith, H. Rex Smith, Robert Ray Smith, and Harry Lee Smith. She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Kennedy of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Joseph Dale Smith and wife Shirley of Amsterdam, Missouri; and brother, Ralph Lowell Smith and wife Patricia of Amsterdam, Missouri. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
