Muggy conditions and afternoon thunderstorm chances will continue over the next few days across the region. Widespread precipitation amounts are pretty low, but if you get under one of the storms, expect briefly heavy downpours and lightning.

Vernon County Sheriffs Office: Both Missing Juveniles Now In Police Custody
Bates County Live just received confirmation from The Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher that the search for the missing juvenile's that was going on in rural Vernon County is now over. The kids and mother are all in Police Custody at this hour.

UPDATE: Missing Children In Vernon County
The Vernon County Sheriff's Office deputies made entry into a home in Milo, Missouri and arrested Kelly Otter. Both juveniles ran from Sheriff deputies. Haley was found a short time later and is in custody. Deputies are still searching for Christopher who ran into some nearby woods. Bates County Live will update this when more information becomes available from the Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher.
Weather Update: Thunderstorm Chances This Evening
Here is a look at what you can expect rain-wise this evening. Most of the thunderstorm activity will be confined to areas near St. Joseph northward through sunset, but more storms building over central KS may move into the area after dark.No severe storms are expected, but watch out for frequent lightning and gusty winds to 40 mph.
