Adrian Optimist Club Students of the month April 2015

The Adrian Optimist Club is pleased to honor Students of the Month from the Miami, Ballard, and Adrian schools. Criteria for this honor center on outstanding academic and civic achievement and school spirit. Staff at each of the schools make the selection, and their decision is based on expansion of these criteria. Selection is based on the criteria, but a student stepping up to a particular task will come to play in it. Each student is honored with a certificate of recognition from the Adrian Optimist Club and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks”.

She applies herself and always does her best as she strives to learn more. Kaitlyn is very giving as she is always willing to help others when needed and is cooperative in her efforts. She stays very active as she is involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, FCCLA and the varsity volleyball team. In her spare time she is a car hop at the butler Sonic Drive-In. Following high school Kaitlyn plans on majoring in biology at UMKC with a long term goal of becoming a successful surgeon.

Instructor, Samie Hill states “Camryn is very hardworking, caring, and is a great role model both inside and outside of the classroom. She is always trying to achieve the best possible outcome. This includes countless hours completing her homework and studying along with working on her extracurricular activities to improve her sport skills or perfect her play lines. Her peers look to her for both social and academic support. She is kind to each person not only in her class but everyone she meets. Outside of the classroom she is extremely competitive but represents her team and school at the highest level.”
