60 grams of meth recovered after traffic stop in Harrisonville

Today Harrisonville Police Officers conducted a traffic stop with the help of our furry K-9 friend Uxo.

During the stop, approximately 60 grams of methamphetamine was discovered, along with various items of drug paraphernalia.

In the image below, the majority of the drugs are inside the white plastic bag. Looks like Uxo earned his Scooby snack for the day.

Mid America Live News will update when more information is made available to us from the Harrisonville Police Department.

Assault investigated in Barton County

On 9/10/2018 at approximately 5:24pm Deputies Kristian Dalglish and Chad McManis of the Barton County Sheriff’s office were dispatched to a physical domestic in Burgess. The allegation was a subject was striking a pregnant woman.

Upon arrival at the address deputies learned that the suspect involved in the altercation fled on foot from the address and was allegedly hiding from officers around the railroad tracks. With the assistance from deputies of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol, a search was conducted for the individual. After a lengthy amount of time went by and unable to locate him, the officers began to gather information from the parties involved with the assault.

At approximately 9:35 pm the individual that was being sought for questioning in the alleged crime returned to the property in order to try and get things from a vehicle parked at the residence. Deputy Dalglish was still at the house when he returned.

After the deputy spoke with the suspect Edward Joseph Tripodes Jr, he was placed under arrest by the Barton County Sheriff’s Office and was transported to Barton County Jail. He has been charged with two counts of assault for the events that took place that night. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri Highway Patrol for their assistance in this matter.
