Bates County CAFO Ordinance Determination

The Bates County Commission has made their determination on the request to enact a local county ordinance prior to August 28, 2019 dealing with proposed Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO).

The decision made unanimously was not to put such an ordinance into effect at this time.

Last week a public informational meeting at the Commission chambers was held to allow public input and get information and answers to specific concerns from stakeholders involved in a proposed CAFO west and south of Rich Hill. That meeting is available to review by going to the following link.
