Slight risk of storms later today
Good morning. Here's my update on severe storm chances for today as we are once again in the marginal (1/5) risk area. First of all, any storms that do get together could bring hail and damaging winds. But all the overnight data suggests storms are going to have a difficult time forming mostly due to lack of available moisture. However, make sure you can get weather alerts this afternoon into the evening as warm/moist air is building into the area and may be able to overcome the dry air and send those dewpoints up. Right now - I'm thinking we won't see many storms if any. But just know - the potential is there, and we all know how fast things can change. Check back with me for updates today. -Greg@660weather

Obituary - Daryl Lamb
In May of 1961, Daryl met the love of his life, Carolyn Murray. The two were united in marriage on March 14, 1964, and shared more than 62 wonderful years together filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Daryl and Carolyn were blessed with three children: Douglas Lamb (Dana), Sheila Bell (David), and Sherry Jones (Mike). Family was the center of Daryl’s life, and he especially treasured the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Daryl worked a variety of jobs, including positions with Seatons Meat Packing, Barton County Meat Packing, Yeager Wholesale Company, Key Industry, Nevada Skelgas, and Carthage LP Gas. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
Daryl enjoyed camping trips during the summer with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. He also had a special love for his old pickup trucks, which he took great pride in keeping in beautiful condition.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Lamb; his children, Douglas Lamb (Dana), Sheila Bell (David), and Sherry Jones (Mike); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Sharon Cartwright and Beverly Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Lyle Lamb and Luther Lamb; his sister, Janelle McKinley; and his brother-in-law, Larry McKinley.
Daryl will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his quiet strength, and the many happy memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May12th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO. A graveside service will follow in Moore Cemetery with Dr. Jerod Lamb officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Obituary - Ronald Finley
Ron was born on October 18, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Donald and Sara Finley. On August 6, 1965, he was united in marriage to Durinda A. Breedlove in Kansas City, Missouri, beginning a loving partnership that spanned many years.
Ron was a hardworking man who lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his deep love for his family, and his fun-loving spirit. A longtime member of Harrisonville Nazarene Church, Ron was also one of the founders of the Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene Car Show, a community tradition he proudly supported and enjoyed for many years. Alongside his wife, Durinda, he was an active member of the Harrisonville Road Runners, sharing his passion for classic cars and fellowship with many dear friends. Ron also proudly owned and operated C&R Customs, where his talent, knowledge, and love for automotive work left a lasting impression on countless people throughout the community.
He had a deep passion for hot rods, muscle cars, and all things automotive. Ron also enjoyed hunting, spending time outdoors, and sharing good times with family and friends. Whether working on cars, attending car shows, or simply gathering with the people he loved most, Ron treasured every moment.
Above all else, Ron loved his family deeply and will be remembered for the laughter, stories, and memories he shared throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Durinda A. Finley of Harrisonville, Missouri; his children, Gayla Sommerer and husband Mark of Pittsburg, Kansas, Craig Finley and wife Burie of Greenwood, Missouri, and Erin Rencher of Jefferson City, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren; his sister Linda Tucker and husband Richard of Bethany, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don C. Finley and Sara E. Phillips Finley, and his daughter, Kirstine Rochelle Finley.
Ron’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene Memorial Fund for the car show. Donations may be sent to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.

Obituary - Teresa Hunter
Teresa Ellen Hunter 77, died May 2nd, 2026 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Teresa was born November 23, 1948 in Adrian, Missouri to Frances and E.L. Ford (Junior).
Teresa’s favorite employment was being a cook on a riverboat. That’s where she met her husband Fred, a riverboat captain.
They spent most of their time living on their 40 acres in Columbia, Missouri, while enjoying watching the wildlife. When Fred retired, they moved to Karns City, Pennsylvania beside the Alleghany River where Fred was from. After Fred passed in March of 2023, Teresa moved back to Harrisonville, Missouri to be near her siblings.
Teresa had a heart for the underdog. She always felt that they needed her support. She also had a knack for making strangers or new people to a group feel welcomed, she initiated conversations often and liked to learn about people. Teresa’s passion was reading. She was happy as long as she had a good book to read.
Teresa had two brothers, Gary (Teresa) Ford, Donnie (Rosie) Ford; and two sisters, Anita (Jack) Baize, and Donna (Bill) Busby. Teresa was blessed with many aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as nieces and nephews; and her stepson John Hunter, and his wife Heather, and their boys Jack, Ian, and Wesley of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
