Obituary - Raylee Marie Harris
Raylee Marie Harris, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Friday, May 31, 2013 at her home. Celebration of Life service 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville with visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. (Cremation).
Ft. Scott Street from Orange to Prospect Closing due to High Water under the Bridge
Butler Police just advised MoDot to shut down Ft. Scott Street from Orange Street to Prospect Streets here in Butler. The water is over the road under the railroad bridge just west of the stoplight in Butler. Please find a different route.
New Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bates County
National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bates County until 6:15pm. A strong storm located 10 miles North of Hume moving North east at 40mph.. Possible Quarter size hail and 60mph wind. Please stay inside. Bates County Live will Update if and when more information becomes available.
UPDATE: On Overturned Vehicle South of Butler
Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County Sheriff and Butler Fire Department is on scene of a roll over accident Northbound lanes of I-49 just North of 52 East Highway. Two people are injured and being transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital by ambulance . One lane of the Highway is blocked. Bates County Live will have the Official Police report from the Highway Patrol when it is released.

Churches are Open in Adrian
All the churches in Adrian are open incase someone needs to go there in the event of a tornado. Haven't heard any word of Butler Churches being open. Bates County Live will update this Story when more information becomes available.

The Tornado Warning for Northeastern Bates County has been cancelled by National Weather Service. Bates County Live will update any weather changes. Please use caution and be alert of the weather before you head out and about.
Tornado Warning For Bates County
National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning effective until 4:00pm for Northeast Bates County. This DOESN'T include Adrian and Butler Area. If you are in Northeast Bates County you need to take cover now. Also in the Urich area.
