Saving Summit School House BBQ Cookout & Party

Big BBQ Benefit to
Save Summit School

Come out for All You Can Eat BBQ at "Kegs, Corks and Forks" September 23rd at Poplar Heights Living History Farm. It's a Ribs, Roast Pork and Brisket Dinner to raise funds to save the Summit School house. Yes, the Piano Guy will be back and playing all your favorites along with a cash wine and beer bar. You won't go hungry with this buffet!
Tickets are just $25.00, in advance. Call 660-200-5620, email info@poplarheightsfarm.org or get them through Eventbrite. There will be no sales at the door and the last date to get your tickets is September 16th.
Summit School is one of the last remaining one-room school houses left in the area and still in good condition. Plans are to move the building to Poplar Heights Living History Farm. There is will be completely restored so that visitors can relieve the one-room school experience. Literacy, history and other educational programs are planned for children and adults utilizing this school house.
"Kegs, Corks and Forks" is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will be in the yard north of the Seelinger Home. In case of rain the dinner will be in the Threshing Barn. Get your tickets early for this great fall evening event. You must be 21 to attend.
Poplar Heights is located at 5250 NE County Road 5004, Butler, MO. From Butler go east on H Highway to UU Highway, turn north onto UU and follow the signs.
