Body Identified name pending release in Cass County Death Investigation

The Cass County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the death of a person located near I-49 earlier this morning. 

At this time the victim is being identified as a white female in her early twenties. 

Detectives do not believe that this victim it is related to any other ongoing investigations in the metro area. 

The Cass County Sheriff's Office will be working with the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the exact cause of death and a positive identification.
