The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day when deputies responded to a residence on Beech Street, Appleton City, in reference to an assault. During the investigation it was discovered Courtemanche charged at a male juvenile and knocked him to the floor causing an injury to his wrist.
The juvenile’s mother, Pamela Mealman, stepped between the two and was punched in the head. Courtemanche and Mealman are living together at the residence as domestic partners.
