Around 7:30am this morning the Harrisonville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of North Independence Street in Harrisonville, Missouri.
When officers arrived on scene they found one deceased female and one male who was suffering from a gunshot.
The male was taken to the hospital by ambulance and we are told he is in stable condition.
A unknown suspect was taken into custody a short time later and charges are pending as of right now. Several roads in the area were closed as a result of the investigation.
