Update: Rich Hill man injured in accident near Hume

On 12/15/16 around 9:20pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County EMS and Bates County Sheriffs Deputies responded was a one vehicle accident on Missouri A Highway at V Highway in the Hume area of Bates County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2002 Ford  E-350 van driven by 43 year old James A Scott of Rich Hill, Missouri failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway.

Mr. Scott sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle sustained extensive damages and was towed from the scene by R/T Tow.
