Possible explosive device found under Joplin bridge

Update to possible explosive device found in Shoal Creek by low water bridge in Joplin, Missouri:

A citizen swimming in shoal creek found what appeared to be an old military device in the water. He moved it to the bank and called the police.

After a picture of it was send to Ft Leonard Wood, they believed it to likely be a live device and responded.

Military officials arrived and deemed the device to be a "dummy round" with no explosive capabilities.

In these situations, we will always use an abundance of caution to insure everyone's safety. Actual picture included.
