UPDATE: Two vehicle accident in Harrisonville injures two

On 7/27/17 around 12:20pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Harrisonville Police Department responded to a two vehicle accident at the corner of Washington and Lexington Streets in Harrisonville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 21 year old Johnnie W. Howery of Harrisonville, Missouri failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the 2017 Ford Explorer driven by  63 year old Kathleen M. Vangorkom of Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Kathleen Vangorkom along with a passenger in her vehicle 50 year old Joy Davis of Peculiar, Missouri both sustained moderate injuries in this accident and both were transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.

Both vehicle received extensive damages and both were towed from the scene by Johnson's Tow.
