Drexel water improvements underway

As Drexel residents anxiously await, crews are working in various locations to bring the new water supply to town. The city has entered an agreement with Tri-County Water Authority in Independence Mo to provide water for the town, which has been in need of a quality source of water for quite some time. Improvements include a new water main run from near Harrisonville to Drexel with an in line booster station and new water tower. The photo shows the concrete footings for the tower under construction just northwest of town.

The water will travel through nearly 80 miles of pipe to reach its destination in Drexel.
