Bears medal big in Knob Noster wrestling tournament

On Saturday, Dec 4, the Butler Bears varsity wrestling team travelled to the Knob Noster Invitational Wrestling Tournament. The Bears wrestled very competitively at the tournament. Last season, the Bears placed 10th out of 12 teams and brought home 2 medals. This year, the Bears had 8 medalists, securing 4th place out of 11 teams at the tournament. The 8 medals were the most brought home for the Bears from an individual tournament since 2005. Tournament teams included Butler, Blair Oaks, Fatima, Knob Noster, Lone Jack, New Bloomfield, Platte County JV, Raytown, Tipton, Versailles, and Warsaw. The Bears will next travel to Carrolton for a Friday night tournament on Dec 10th.
