At approximately 6:25 a.m. this morning a car driven by Alex Hollon of Amsterdam received damage in an accident on 18 highway just north county road 15002. According to Hollon, who was northbound on 18 highway, a truck pulling a trailer veered over the center line and the trailer struck the front driver's side of the Hollon car. The truck continued southbound after impact.
Hollon was not injured, however the car received heavy damage and was towed from the scene.
The vehicle is described as a red pickup truck pulling a white stock trailer. The trailer may possibly have green paint along the left side. If anyone has information regarding this vehicle contact the Bates County Sheriff's Office at 660-679-3232.
