With the help of the Highway Patrol, the Adrian police, Bates County EMS, LifeFlight and neighboring fire departments, the Adrian Fire Department hosted a demonstration this morning to show every aspect of working a deadly car crash.
The 'victims' (portrayed by actors) didn't fare so well. One fatality was taken away by the Bates County Coroner; one taken by medical helicopter with life threatening injuries; one by ambulance and the driver was handcuffed and arrested for DUI.By studying the faces of onlookers, this scene certainly had impact and hopefully will serve as an ongoing reminder to be aware of the consequences of driving while under the influence.
