From the desk of Senator David Pearce

Now that we have finished up the special session, many of my colleagues and I are taking the opportunity to visit with our constituents regarding the successes and trials of both the first regular session and the first special session of the 96th General Assembly.

Soon in your local newspapers, you will receive an insert from my office. This 2011 Legislative Report is our way of getting information into your hands without the added expense of mailing them to your homes.
In the report, you will find information on legislation that I filed during the regular session, major legislation that passed, and topics of importance to the 31st Senatorial District, such as our state’s budget, education, and veterans’ rights. I hope that this report will not only be of interest to you as a constituent, but enlighten you as to the numerous themes discussed during a regular legislative session.

Being a lawmaker is never an easy job, although it is rewarding. The time I have spent in the Capitol has taught me many new things and allowed me to have a hand in the creation of our state’s future. These reasons are just a few of the many that I chose to represent you.

As always, please feel free to contact me or my staff with any questions or concerns at any time. We look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions and trying to answer any questions you may have. You can reach us by phone at 866-277-0882 (toll-free) or 573-751-2272, or by fax at 573-526-7381.

Senator David Pearce serves Bates, Cass, Johnson and Vernon counties in the 31st State Senatorial District.
