Colon Cancer awareness display set for March 29th

Notes from the Bates County Memorial Hospital monthly meeting

March is Colon Cancer Awareness month- Stop by Bates County Memorial for education materials and visit the American Cancer Society’s Giant colon, it’s a walk through display and will be on location in the front parking lot of the hospital, open from 10 am until 2 pm on March 29th. The guided walk through will be hosted by the American cancer society.

Bates County Memorial Hospital and the Bates County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting a Cancer Prevention and Screening Wednesday April 11th in the Education Center. The meeting will be a Lunch ‘n Learn with guest speaker Nancy Washburn, Oncology Nurse Practitioner with the Kansas city Cancer Center. The Lunch ’n Learn will be held from 12:30 to 1:30. Registration is required.

Bates County Memorial Hospital will be hosting, "Dispelling the Myths of Organ/Tissue donation". This Lunch ‘n Learn will feature guest speaker Courtney Root, from MidWest Transplant Network. The meeting will be held April 17th from 12:30 to 1:30 in the Education Center of Bates County Memorial Hospital.
