Unexpected winter weather creates havoc on local roads

As temps were predicted to drop into the upper 20's overnight, freezing precipitation wasn't expected to come with it. Snow and sleet turned to slush on local roadways starting around 6 this morning causing numerous slide offs and accidents in a stretch between Butler to Passaic to north of Adrian.

There were at least two accidents with minor injuries reported in the chaos, however as temps rise roadways are improving quickly.

Details on the accidents will be posted as soon as they are available.
