St. Patrick's Day Forcast

Is this the luck of the Irish? Well, there remains quite a few questions and uncertainties as this next storm system approaches later tonight into Sunday morning. What will the temperature be when precipitation arrives? How hard will it be raining/snowing? How much snow will melt as it falls?

As you can see, this is NO easy forecast. However, current indications point to a rain/snow mixture developing after midnight tonight, with the best chances for snow forming between 4am and 10am. Currently we're thinking snowfall amounts will remain light, and with high pavement temperatures the impacts on the road system may be minimal. However some areas (especially in central Missouri) could see upwards of 1 to 3" of snow and this could be higher in eastern portions of Missouri. Then again, if you feel lucky, perhaps you can wish all this snow over to rain and we won't have to deal with it!
