2 vehicle Cass County accident injures 2 Bates County people

Around 9:25am yesterday morning Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a 2 vehicle accident on I-49 and mile maker 170 in Cass County. A 2007 Ford F-150 driven by Jason L. Barnes 30, of Butler Missouri was traveling Southbound crossed the median then struck the median cable and became air born. Then Barnes vehicle overturned and struck a Northbound 1999 Nissan Altima driven by Crystal R. Tourtillot 35 of Rich Hill Missouri. Then came to rest in the Northbound Lanes of I-49. The vehicles was both totaled and towed from the scene by Miller Tow also both of the drivers was wearing seat belts. Barnes received moderate injuries and was transported to Research Hospital by Metro South Fire. Tourtillot received minor injuries and was transported to Belton Regional Hospital.
