Weather Update 5:30pm

Many Scattered showers will be possible overnight tonight, but more of the focus will be across eastern and southern Missouri. Tuesday will bring rain chances further north with showers and thunderstorms arriving in the afternoon. There will be a SLIGHT risk for severe storms Tuesday night with a threat of large hail.

We want you to pay close attention to the forecast for Wednesday and Wednesday night and please "share" this graphic with your friends and family as a very active severe weather day could be found across the region. The Storms Prediction Center has put portions of Kansas and Missouri under a MODERATE risk for severe storms with a SLIGHT risk of severe weather over nearly the entire state of Missouri.

Rainfall will be plenty through the week, with upwards of 2" to 4" of rain possible by Thursday. If these rain amounts fall, it will lead to flooding on rivers and streams. Please continue to monitor the forecast for the middle of the week.
