Severe weather possible late this weekend and into next week. The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of the region under a SLIGHT risk of severe storms for Sunday afternoon and Sunday night. Looking at the graphics, we've also included the probabilities of severe weather, which show a large area of the region that falls under a higher probability of severe storms. The primary threats from this potential severe weather will be very large hail, damaging winds, along with tornadoes.
The severe weather risk continues into Monday as a front stretches over the region. Given the large amount of outdoor activities Sunday afternoon/evening, the time to prepare and have a severe weather plan is now.
