UPDATE: Accident South of Passaic


Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County Sheriff and Butler Fire responded to a 1 vehicle accident yesterday around 4:00pm. This accident was a mile South of Passaic at mile marker 136.2 in the median of I-49. The accident occured when the 2004 Ford Damon Challenger RV driven by Pamela V. Gilley 49, of  Wheat Ridge Colorado was Southbound on I-49 and traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck 2 delineator posts, returning to the roadway and begin to slide. The RV then slid off the left side of the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its passenger side in the median. Gilley was wearing a seat belt and recieved moderate injuries and was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital by Ambulance. The RV was a total loss and cause quite a mess on the highway. The vehicle was towed by Gilkey's Tow Service of Rich Hill.
