The best sitter is a “Safe Sitter.” The Bates Country Health Center will offer a one day Safe Sitter class for perspective babysitters. Safe Sitter is a medically accurate hands-on class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergenies when caring for children as well as business skills, safety, child development and much more. The class will be held Monday, July 29 from 8:30am to 4:30pm. There is limited space to those who wish to attend the class must preregister. Preregister must happen by the middle of July if possible as space is limited. The class is $30 per student. For more information call the Bates County Health Center at 660-679-6108.
